For BlackBerry storm owners, there has been a small rush of BlackBerry applications released which are turning some heads. One recent application I acquired is called BlackBerry Labyrinth OTA.
This game is a marble game which you control simply by tilting your BlackBerry Storm. If you’ve tried the Labyrinth application for the iPod/iPhone, then you are familiar with the general idea of this application. It is free, so go check it out!
Are you looking for a GPS application for your BlackBerry Storm? One of the newest releases, Where, is now available to most BlackBerry users (BlackBerry Storm users get the most features, but Where is also available for BlackBerry 8800, Bold, Curve and Pearl users).
Here is the description for the BlackBerry Storm version of Where:
Get ready for a whole new experience. WHERE on the BlackBerry Storm is unlike anything you’ve seen before. New widgets, new layout and at-a-glance information about your local area are all available in WHERE’s latest version designed for the BlackBerry Storm.
WHERE is a location based mobile application which provides handy information about places around you. WHERE on the BlackBerry Storm comes prepackaged with GasBuddy, Starbucks, Weather, News and Traffic.

Now that BlackBerry’s App World has officially been announced, it looks like the pricing structure for BlackBerry applications has also become available!
If you were hoping for similar pricing to Apple’s pricing structure, you will definitely be disappointed! There will in fact be free BlackBerry applications, but all other BlackBerry applications will be a minimum of $2.99 and a maximum of $999.99.

This pricing structure is an interesting move, as BlackBerry certainly targets a more adult/business crowd than Apple does. Hopefully these higher prices will encourage more businesses to include applications for their products and services in the App World store.
What do you think of the new BlackBerry App World pricing structure?
This is an exciting time for BlackBerry users, as the BlackBerry application store is quickly approaching! It looks like as of today, RIM has settled on the new name……BlackBerry App World.
If you own a BlackBerry and want updates on the status of App World, you’ll want to click here (after 10 EST later tonight) and sign up for automatic updates.
To all you developers out there, will you be building BlackBerry applications to sell in App World?
